Seventh Annual Eagle Expo

Seventh Annual Eagle Expo

February 29, 2012

The Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau partnered with the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP), LUMCON, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Audubon Society and others, along with volunteer birding enthusiasts in presenting the Eagle Expo, a tribute to the return of the American Bald Eagle to Louisiana.

Held on February 9 – 11 in Morgan City, LA, the Expo featured seminars from wildlife and nature experts, a live raptor presentation, boat tours to view eagles and nest and opportunities for bird enthusiasts to meet fellow birders.

The Expo also showcased not only the American Bald Eagle, but the numerous species of birds and wildlife found within the Atchafalaya Basin and surrounding areas.
