The university field trip program offers professors the opportunity to
bring students in appropriate science classes to a LUMCON facility to gain
first-hand experience with wetland, estuarine and/or marine
environments. The 58' R/V
Acadiana, a fleet of
small boats, canoes, education laboratories, and a variety of sampling gear are
available for field trip use. Room and/or board are available for
overnight field trips both at the DeFelice Marine Center and the Port
Fourchon laboratory. |
