Get research experience for university
credit by working with a member of
LUMCON's research faculty or staff
This program gives qualified undergraduate students the opportunity to work and learn at an active marine research station. Internship projects are conducted for eight weeks (June 8 - Aug. 1). While completing an internship, the student lives at the DeFelice Marine Center in Cocodrie working under the supervision of a Faculty/Staff Advisor and University Education Coordinator. Summer interns participate in an intern field day and give an informal presentation of their accomplishments to their advisors and other interns in a supportive social atmosphere.
