Driving Directions to Fourchon

From New Orleans/I-10 and points east

  • I-10 West to Exit 220/I-310 South to Boutte/Houma.
  • Drive approximately 11 miles to US 90 West and exit right (I-310 ends in a fork at US 90, stay to the right).
  • Drive 17 1/2 miles to an overpass.
  • Take the Highway 308, Raceland, Grand Isle” exit.
  • Turn left (south) onto 308.
  • Continue South on Highway 308 for approximately 25 miles.
  • Cross Bayou LaFourche at the South Lafourche Bridge (just past Burger King), continue straight from the bridge to Highway 3235 (note highway 3235 will turn into Highway 1 at the end of the Golden Meadow town limits
  • FOLLOW SPEED LIMITS IN THE TOWN OF GOLDEN MEADOW-STRICTLY ENFORCED
  • Continue traveling approximately 20 miles on Highway 1 until you reach Highway 3090
  • Turn right onto Highway 3090, which is also known as Fourchon Road
  • Drive 3 miles
  • Turn left at Public boat launch.
  • Follow the canal around the boat launch to a gravel road on the left.
  • Drive to the end of the road. The camp is at the end of the road.

From Baton Rouge and points north (3 hours)

  • I-10-E to 310 Exit: Boutte, Houma.
  • Drive approximately 11 miles to US 90 West and exit right (I-310 ends in a fork at US 90, stay to the right).
  • Drive 17 1/2 miles to an overpass.
  • Take the Highway 308, Raceland, Grand Isle exit.
  • Turn left (south) onto 308.
  • Continue South on Highway 308 for approximately 25 miles.
  • Cross Bayou LaFourche at the South Lafourche Bridge (just past Burger King), continue straight from the bridge to Highway 3235 (note highway 3235 will turn into Highway 1 at the end of the Golden Meadow town limits
  • FOLLOW SPEED LIMITS IN THE TOWN OF GOLDEN MEADOW-STRICTLY ENFORCED
  • Continue traveling approximately 20 miles on Highway 1 until you reach Highway 3090
  • Turn right onto Highway 3090, which is also known as Fourchon Road
  • Drive 3 miles
  • Turn left at Public boat launch.
  • Follow the canal around the boat launch to a gravel road on the left.
  • Drive to the end of the road. The camp is at the end of the road.

From Lafayette and points west (3 hours)

  • I-10, exit South on US HWY 167 to US 90to Morgan City.
  • Stay on US 90 through Morgan City into Houma (about 50 miles).
  • Take the Highway 308, Raceland, Grand Isle exit.
  • Turn left (south) onto 308.
  • Continue South on Highway 308 for approximately 25 miles.
  • Cross Bayou LaFourche at the South Lafourche Bridge (just past Burger King), continue straight from the bridge to Highway 3235 (note highway 3235 will turn into Highway 1 at the end of the Golden Meadow town limits
  • FOLLOW SPEED LIMITS IN THE TOWN OF GOLDEN MEADOW-STRICTLY ENFORCED
  • Continue traveling approximately 20 miles on Highway 1 until you reach Highway 3090
  • Turn right onto Highway 3090, which is also known as Fourchon Road
  • Drive 3 miles
  • Turn left at Public boat launch.
  • Follow the canal around the boat launch to a gravel road on the left.
  • Drive to the end of the road. The camp is at the end of the road.

NOTE: If you are driving from Shreveport or Alexandria, drive south on I-49 until you reach Hwy 90 in Lafayette. Then, follow the directions from Lafayette and points west.
