Electrical power on the R/V Pelican is supplied by 2 Caterpillar
3306, 99 kW diesel generators with manual governors.
R/V Pelican does not supply Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for
scientific parties. UPSs are recommended, and scientists are encouraged
to provide their own.
